SERMON NOTES:

WHERE DO YOU DWELL?

Text: John 14:1-14; Psalm 90:1-2; Various

Big Idea: Jesus invites us to “come and see” where he lives. He lives in God.

Date: 10-10-2021 Beaver Creek Christian Church

Two of John’s disciples asked Jesus where he was dwelling. Jesus invited them to come and see. He invites them to perceive for themselves where he dwells (Jn 1:35-40). After being with him for three years these men perceive that he’s not from around here (Jn 14:1-014). Today we are going to look through spiritual eyes and perceive, like these two disciples, where Jesus dwells. COME AND SEE -

God is Pro-Life according to his own testimony. He has presented 3 gifts of life to every person. But it is your choice what you will do with these gifts.

We all have our own ideas about what worship really is. But there is more to it. Worship is an encounter with God. The concept of worship is one of the oldest practices of mankind. It finds is true meaning in Jesus’ words, “Worshippers must worship in spirit and truth.” Isaiah’s encounter with God shows us 4 essential elements of worship.

The Power of Ministry

Date: 08-08-2021 Beaver Creek Christian Church

Prayer can be a powerful and effective ministry of the church (James 5:13-18). Prayer gets things done! One of the ministries of the first church was prayer (Act 2:42). Isaiah 56:7 says, "My House shall be called a house of prayer for all peoples”. Today I want to share with you three things a powerful and effective prayer ministry can do in our church.

BIBLICAL LEADERSHIP 06 - BIBLICAL DEACONS: Servants

Text: Acts 2:42-47; 6:1-7 ; Various

BIBLICAL LEADERSHIP 06 - BIBLICAL DEACONS: Servants

Text: Acts 2:42-47; 6:1-7 ; Various

Big Idea: Deacons are servants… doers of ministry in the church.

Date: 07-25-2021 Beaver Creek Christian Church

We all face change everyday. Change can be awkward for some. Change in “our church” can be particularly hard. The main reason that change must happen in the church is the mission demands it… Our mission is to go and make disciples. CHANGE HAPPENED RAPIDLY IN THE NEW CHURCH(Acts 2:41-47; 6:1-7). The Apostles’ answer to this problem were deacons.

BIBLICAL LEADERSHIP: 05 - NO MASK, PLEASE!

Text: I Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9 ; Various

SERMON NOTES: BIBLICAL LEADERSHIP

05 - No Mask, Please (Elder Qualification).

Text: I Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9 ; Various

Big Idea: An Elder must be a man of integrity… the same in every area of his life. There are 5 areas of qualification

Date: 07-18-2021 Beaver Creek Christian Church

Sometimes we are guilty of wearing masks to disguise ourselves. It should be that way because we never get to know the real you. Jesus has called us all to be people of integrity… consistent in all we do. As the leaders set the vision of Jesus before us it is necessary for them to be men of integrity. Paul talked about the qualities of leaders in 1 Timothy 3:-1-7 and Titus 1:5-9; Character matters and that is why today we are going to talk about five arenas of integrity.

BIBLICAL LEADERSHIP: 04 - Teach, Encourage, Rebuke

Titus 1:5-16; 2:15

SERMON NOTES: BIBLICAL LEADERSHIP

04 - Teach, Encourage, Rebuke

Text: Titus 1:5-16; 2:15; Various

Big Idea: The Elders are to teach, encourage, and rebuke. When they do this the church is blessed and grows. If not, it becomes worldly.

Date: 07-04-2021 Beaver Creek Christian Church

The world we live in as Christians is an evil and dangerous place. It wasn’t much different in Paul’s day. Crete was a rough and touch island nation that had a bad reputation. Paul knew that believers on Crete were not organized to protect themselves. Paul encouraged Titus to select men as elders who would teach, encourage, and rebuke so that the church would be able to withstand worldliness and grow spiritual.

03 - What is Biblical Eldership

Text: Acts 20:17-35; Various

Big Idea: The Elders are the spiritual leaders of the church. They are in charge of our spiritual growth, development, protection and cast the vision.

Date: 06-27-2021 Beaver Creek Christian Church

It is impossible to lead without first being a follower. There is a distinct pattern for church leadership in the Bible. The elders are the spiritual leaders of the church who are in charge of our spiritual growth, development, protection, and cast the vision for the church (Ac 20:17-35). Today we are going to look at main functions of what a Biblical Elder does by looking at the titles that the they are called in the Bible.

02 - 4 Actions Words

Text: Genesis 2:7, 15-17: Ga 3:28; Various

Big Idea: God has called all Christian men to be spiritual leaders of their families. Vision begins at home and church with 4 Simple Action Words.

Date: 06-20-2021 Beaver Creek Christian Church

We need spiritual leaders, at home, at church, in the world. The way in which He leads the family is different from leadership in the world. Biblical leaders lead in humility, submission and obedience to God (Ge 2:7, 15-17: Ga 3:28; Cl 3:18-19). I eagerly desire to share 4 simple action words with you this morning and what they are about. Biblical Leadership starts at home with these four words:

VISIONQUEST: 06 - VISIONEERING

Ephesians 4:1-16; Various

SERMON NOTES: VISION QUEST: 06 - Visioneering

Text: Ephesians 4:1-16; Various

Big Idea: The church is to work together in ministry to equip every member for the work, build up the body of believers, to obtain unity in knowledge, and to reach our full potential in Christ.

Date: 06-06-2021 Beaver Creek Christian Church

VISIONEERING refers to the engineering of vision. Visioneering is is “a clear mental picture of what could be, fueled by the conviction that it should be.” Long before someone imagined the idea of Visioneering, The Apostle Paul was challenging the members of the church to work together toward full potential of what the church should be (Ep 4:1-16). Let’s take a look at what this involves.

Text: Nehemiah 1:1-11; Various

Big Idea: The book of Nehemiah give us seven keys to visionary leadership. The church needs leaders with vision.

Date: 05-30-2021 Beaver Creek Christian Church

VISIONARY LEADERSHIP GETS THINGS DONE! Vision gives hope to the people. Nehemiah was given a sorry report of the condition of the Jews who came back from exile (Ne 1:1-11). It broke his heart. But it also gave him a vision which brought hope and encouragement to his people. Today I want to share 7 keys to visionary leadership.

VISIONQUEST: 04 - VISION SMASHERS

Exodus 39:32-43

SERMON NOTES: VISION QUEST: 04 - VISION SMASHERS

Text: Exodus 39:32-43; Various

Big Idea: Vision smashers keep us from doing the work of building Christ’ Kingdom. Vision Smashers include Fear, Ego, Doubt, Apathy, and Envy.

Date: 05-23-2021 Beaver Creek Christian Church

Having a vision for the church is a lot like a construction project. The main plan, the mission, comes from the Master, the architect, who has a desire to build something. The story of the tabernacle illustrates this (Ex 39:32-43). But there are 5 Vision Smasher that keep the church from following the vision of Christ.
