12. Showcase the Light - Soak in the rays - Daniel 12:3
12. Showcase the light - people see the light when it permeates your life - Daniel 12:3.
Daniel 12:3 - Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever.
I remember the the old dish soap commercial where the Solon specialist tells about how good her dish soap is for cleaning dishes. "But is it good for your hand," the customer ask? The specialist responds, "Your soaking in it. Good for your dishes and your hands!"
If we want to shine the light of Jesus we need to soak in his glory. His light needs to shine in every area of our lives. The big things and the little things... all should be submersed in the goodness of his light. lt's good for you and your witness.
A friend of mine was having lunch with his business associates and he stopped to have prayer before the meal as was his custom. One of his associates started having a bit of sport with him. My friend smiled but did not say anything. One of the other men said "it is his consistent integrity that has given him the eye and the ear of the boss." The man who had started the sport looked at my friend and said, "Maybe you should pray for all of us." So he did. And after that day the men had prayer together every time they ate. Soon some of the men and women started meeting for devotions before work. What started as a joke ended in shining light into the lives of others.
Just this morning I had a nurse ask me if I was a pastor. She had seen the way that I act and noted the devotion book on the tray. We then had a great discussion on church work.
When you let the light of Jesus permeate every aspect of your life others can't help but notice.
May God bless you as you soak in his glory and light.
PRAYER THOUGHT: Dear Holy God: You are holy, righteous, pure… there is no darkness in you at all. Please allow me to bask in the rays of your glorious light so that all the the areas of my life reflect the glowing radiance off your awesomeness. When others look into my life I want them to see you, and only you. Thank you for Jesus and sanctifying me through his name. It is by his name and authority that I approach your brilliance, AMEN!
