This Hymn had 11 verse!

Matthew 28:5-7

What Easter Hymn originally had over 11 verses? Let’s explore this question a little deeper in today’s episode.

One of my favorite things about Easter is how we greet each other on Resurrection Morning. “The Lord is risen!” will be said by someone. To which the ones who hear it will say, “He is risen indeed!” Christians around the world are remember the resurrection of our Savior with this simple greeting. It reminds each of us of Matthew 28:5-7, The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.’ Now I have told you.”
